Passing the entrance tests is a milestone, but it is not yet the finish line. Sechenov Leaders program admission ends with a formal step that many applicants know little about: concluding an education contract and paying the fee. This guide walks through that stage so that applicants in Malaysia and other countries know what to expect once their test results are in.

The three steps at a glance

Admission follows a short sequence:

  • Submit documents in person in Moscow, by post to 119991, Moscow, GSP-1, 8 Trubetskaya Street, Building 2, or online through the Gosuslugi portal.
  • Sit two entrance tests in test format: chemistry, the priority subject, and Russian language as the additional one.
  • Sign the education contract and make the payment.

Only once the third step is complete does an applicant become a student of the program. It therefore pays to prepare for this stage early rather than after results arrive: discuss the budget with your family and decide how you will reach the admissions office if questions come up.

What the contract covers

The education contract is your agreement with the university for paid study. For the Leaders track, the fee buys considerably more than lectures. It includes:

  • the complete General Medicine curriculum;
  • an additional six-year leadership development program;
  • extra research disciplines;
  • support from curators and mentors;
  • access to the university’s research base and laboratories;
  • participation in extracurricular events and projects.

Because these elements come as one package, it is worth understanding each of them before signing, so that you can make full use of curators, laboratories and extra activities from the first semester.

The fee

The cost of the first year is 1,500,000 rubles. The published figure refers to that year only, so do not assume later years will cost the same. Ask the admissions office directly and keep the answer in writing for your family’s budget.

Practical checks before you sign

Treat the contract like any important legal document:

  • read every clause, ideally together with a parent or guardian;
  • confirm the program name and the six-year duration;
  • clarify how and when payment should be made;
  • keep copies of everything you sign and send.
